"After having my split-units cleaned and freon topped off in my condenser, at least three different HVAC companies “diagnosed” my units’ lackluster cooling as an issue with leaking connector tubes between the condenser and the units, and that the overall age of my system meant that it had to be replaced (for a cost of $13,000+). Prime Air was the only operator who actually did a pressure test to determine that there was nothing wrong with my connections and that the amount of freon in the condenser was actually incorrect, creating too much pressure in the system. A bit of work with the condenser and suddenly my units are blowing crisp, cool air — I practically cried with relief that I didn’t have to buy a whole new system. They helped us navigate getting a huge refund from the city for getting rid of our boiler.
